Middle school (5-8)
We are grateful to have added 7th grade in 2020 and 8th grade in 2021 at
Marquette Catholic School!
St. John Bosco, pray for us!
“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person.
And a good Catholic school, over and above this,
should help all its students to become saints.”
— Pope Benedict XVI

Spiritual Formation
Head + Heart = Discipleship
When middle school students graduate from MCS,
we want them to be able to understand, explain and defend their faith:
-
5th grade: Old Testament with Sacred Art
-
6th grade: New Testament with Sacred Art
-
7th Grade: Theology of the Body
-
8th Grade: Church History
-
Memory Challenges each year: prayers, creed, books of the Bible, etc.
In addition, over the four years of middle school, we want students to have encounters with Christ that lead them to conversion and discipleship:
-
Attend Mass Monday and Wednesday mornings
-
Help lead at Mass as servers, lectors, sacristans
-
Weekly Adoration and monthly Reconciliation
-
Talks on Virtue and Saints
-
Introduction to Theology of the Body
-
Learn about religious vocations and more
