Marquette Catholic School (MCS) provides a comprehensive and relevant curriculum for each student.

  • MCS is accredited by Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).

  • Additional instruction is provided in the areas of Music, Art, STEM, and Physical Education. Students visit the library weekly.

  • MCS students consistently score above the national average on standardized tests.

1st Grade - ms. anderson

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Anderson and I teach First Grade here at Marquette Catholic School. It is very exciting to be a part of this staff especially because I am an MCS alumni! In the summer of 2018, I moved to Virginia, MN after graduating from St. Cloud State University with my Elementary Education degree. I like to attend athletic events, community activities, and stay involved. I have a large family with an older sister and brother, and a younger sister who is just beginning high school. I look forward to spending this year with everyone.

3rd Grade - Mrs. Papin

Hi, my name is Jill Papin. I teach 3rd grade here at Marquette. I've taught 3rd grade for the last several years, but I have also taught 1st grade here at MCS. However, my journey at MCS didn't start as a teacher - I was a student here also! I am married to Sam Papin, and I have two daughters: Addison and Julia. They will be in 7th grade and 4th grade this year. I grew up in Virginia, but I attended college at Bemidji State University (BSU), and I have also lived in International Falls for awhile. My degree from BSU is early childhood education. My hobbies include painting and doing fun things with my family. God Bless!!

4th Grade - Mrs. Jarvi

Hi, my name is Leanne Jarvi.  I've been blessed to be called to a vocation of teaching at Marquette Catholic School. We value intellectual growth, but Marquette also values teachers that guide a student's physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.
